Ambrosian rite

Ambrosian rite
This liturgical rite, which is also known as the Milanese rite, takes its name from Saint Ambrose (AD 340-397); the Ambrosian rite, which is still in use in the Archdiocese of Milan (Italy) and the Diocese of Lugano (Switzerland), differs in a number of ways from both the Roman rite and the Roman liturgical year.
